Costumer Critiques

This was the third monitor I bought for our second youngster. Do not waste your time attempting the least high-priced ones like I did, this a single is worth the cash. I have the Super Clear Double Receiver by Safety 1st in my 2 year old's space, which functions perfect. I required a second 1 for my newborn. I tried yet another Safety 1st, and even with two channels, I could only choose up sound from 1 space. Then I returned it for a Sound N Lights monitor by Fisher-Price. Bigger mistake, we couldn't hear any space, only significant static. Finally we tried this a single and love it! It is so quiet, except, of course, when your baby tends to make noise. I can't believe how quite a few channel solutions it has, and other functions too, like an alarm when you are nearly out of range. Also, a rechargable battery, that charges when plugged in, so you do not have to waste your personal batteries when wanting to use it outside. Go for the Gold, this Sony is the top but.

Positive aspects:

1) Super clear compared to most nursery monitors on the marketplace. There is tiny to no static or "white" noise in the background.

2) There are two "on" settings. 1 is the common remain on all the time setting and there is the voice activated setting. It also has a light monitor that lights up according to the intensity of the sound (i.e., baby crying).

three) Water resistant so that you can place this receiver in damp rooms such as a bathroom or a laundry room. (Note: it's water resistant but not WATERPROOF. In other words, you should not take it into the shower or bath with you.)

four) In addition to an external DC supply, it comes with a two.4V rechargable battery provide.

five) It has up to 27 possible channels to choose from and is 900 MHz.

Disadvantages:

1) There is only A single receiver.

2) It is bulky.

three) It is tough to see the manage settings on the side (i.e., OFF, ON, VOICE ACT) and can simply be in the off position instead of on.

Improvement suggestions for Sony:

1) A two.4GHz monitor would be amazing for far more range and potentially better clarity. I feel consumers would be willing to pay a little extra for this considering this current item is marvelous currently.

two) Two receivers would be splendid and convenient. Again, I believe people today would be prepared to pay for the added receiver.

three) You could slim it down a bit or alter the style to one thing a small a great deal more ergonomic.

four) The three indicators at the bottom of the face of the receiver is not essential given that there are indicators at the rather bottom of the receiver for the selection of channels. I don't believe we will need to see what channel selection we have produced but rather, I would like to see color lights there instead to show that it is either off, on or on voice activation considering that it is troublesome to see what setting we are on.

Conclusion: I wouldn't trade this monitor in for any other 1 in the industry. I have tried a lot of other nursery monitors and they were dismal failures. Sony can make a handful of improvements to make this monitor even greater!
