Costumer Reviews
Most hospitals I know of will use these Pampers Swaddlers diapers for babies born in the hospital. I am sure a great number of of you are obtaining these considering that it was what your infant initially made use of at the hospital.
I have been ordering these exact diapers (either from sellers Trend advertising or Planet Stuff, both "fulfilled by Amazon") for about a month now for my newborn (born 6lbs 7oz). They fit her awesome and we have not had any leaks or blowouts (knock on wood). They are soft, seemingly comfy for her, and I do not think that it irritates her skin.
Right here comes the tricky portion.
As you may possibly or could possibly not know, Pampers has some thing named "DRY MAX" that is added to some diapers to make them a lot more absorbent. These additional substances might or may not irritate your baby's skin. Search on-line and you will uncover that a large number of consumers have complained about having DRY MAX in the diapers and it giving their child a rash.
To convolute items even way more, go to a local shop that sells diapers and you will most likely acquire that some Pampers Swaddlers packages say "with Dry Max" on them and some dont. So Pampers tends to make two versions of Swaddlers, one with Dry max and one without having? Incorrect! (properly, according to Pampers themselves that is wrong).
Straight from Pampers themselves:
1. Any typical Pampers Swaddlers (non-Sensiitive versions) diapers have Dry-Max
2. Pampers Swaddlers SENSITIVE do NOT have Dry-Max
So, what about these diapers? They are marked as Pampers Swaddlers (non-Sensitive). So we assume they have Dry-Max in them suitable? Incorrect! Pampers does it once more and confuses us even alot more --- order these (from the sellers i listed) and you will notice that packaging has a special little symbol on it that reads "SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL Product". What is that all about? I contacted Pampers once again:
"Thanks for writing!
There is some packaging that is generally not offered at the retail level. These Swaddlers are going to be plain white for the hopsitals, and the make up of the diaper is like Swaddlers Sensitive. "
So there you have it. Even these these are marked as Common Swaddlers, they are a special hospital version and do NOT have Dry-max (a.k.a. are produced like Swaddlers Sensitive).
whew, that was confusing!
When my child moves up to size 1, i will go straight to Swaddlers Sensitive and not even deal with this dry-max vs. non-drymax fiasco (note: quite a few individuals are content with dry-max too! just depends on your infant!)
hope this assists
edit just wanted to mention, in the Amazon picture for this product you can essentially see the specific symbol. It is a white circle with a + in the middle, and about it says "Specialized Hospital Product"
I've had matters with two suppliers relating to these diapers. Here's my advise to anyone needing/wanting to obtain the swaddler newborn "hospital approved" diapers.
Here's the scoop: Suppliers are advertising the "hospital approved" diapers, these have a + in the middle of a circle on the package. These diapers are the ones utilised in hospitals and are fundamentally the identical as sensitive diapers, except you are not paying the additional .15 per diaper, you pay the same as the other swaddlers for newborns. Now, the catch is the UPC, which the suppliers are not paying attention to. The UPC is 30374X on the hospital grade and on the other individuals is is: 30374. Now, from what a supplier told me, the manufacturer (pampers) is apparently no longer promoting hospital grade to the public, which indicates that the suppliers who have at all times had these x diapers, will no longer carry them, and they are nonetheless marketing the "hospital grade", they are the standard ones.
This has created it so that if the suppliers had been not aware of this modify, they would not know they are sending out the non-hospital grade diapers, which has wellness dangers to their customers. I'm severly allergic to the powder scent and powder and other stuff in the diaper, I cannot even have the package close to me, if it really is within ten feet, I"ll break into hives, and be in the hospital with breathing concerns, if it's closer I'm in the ER promptly... So, it's significant to me when a supplier advertises some thing, they send the right product.
Just wanted to give a heads-up in case there are other people or their babies who are sensitive to the typical diapers, and so when you open the packaging, if the nubers on the box don't have the x following them, and/or you put the package to your nose and smell the powerful powder scent, you will know you received the incorrect product.
