Costumer Reviews

Ok, so I gave this monitor four stars rather than 5 mainly because it does have some annoying flaws. I have researched so numerous monitors for multiple cameras and this a single seemed the most beneficial. I had the Summer Infant Most beneficial View, which was Remarkable I sold it to a friend to aid spend for this a single, and I was type of sad considering that I wasn't certain how this one particular would compare. It seems, like most of the critiques, as long as you don't get a "lemon", it functions wonderful.

I bought mine from BabiesRus.com and ordered the additional camera too (they have it in stock ideal now, and Amazon does not.) Generally, the initial a single I tried, the monitor was blank and showed absolutely nothing. But if I hooked it up to my Television, I could see the baby sleeping, so I knew it wasn't the camera. I brought that one back and got a different a single. This one particular functions! The video good quality is not as very good as the Top View, but is good adequate. I have listed the PROS and CONS beneath

PROS

-Typical amount of interference with Wi-Fi. You will have this situation with most video monitors.

-No static...quite clear sound, and we are 2300 feet from my daughter's space.

-The battery on the monitor appears to be fairly excellent, lasts all day and I charge it each night, even although it is not entirely drained.

-The battery pack for the camera is a neat feature, but I haven't hooked it up. Preserve in thoughts that if you purchase an further camera, the battery pack is not included.

-The volume is certainly amazing and there are no issues with hearing the child rustling around on the sheets, which is good.

-Scanning feature! This feature is what I have been searching for. When you put it on "scan," it scans amongst the cameras you have set up. When the video is on, you see and hear what is being monitored (1st camera, then 2nd...and back to 1st once more.) When you are sleeping, and the video is off, the sound is still scanning among rooms. On other monitors, the sound would stop on the space you had the camera on final. What is the point in that? Also, some have no sound and only video scanning. Like any individual is just going to stay awake all night and stare at the video monitor to see if there are any matters with the babies. This one does the trick, although, with each video and audio scanning.

-The monitor is incredibly sensitive to touch and uncomplicated to use.

-Camera is easy to swivel about to your preference...from the comfort of your bedroom, or wherever...although, I fairly considerably just preserve it where it is. :)

-I appreciate the intercom feature for the reason that in some cases I just speak to my daughter just for enjoyable...when she is awake and I am about to go get her. She looks at the camera and says, "mama" I love it

-There is a honestly good "leg" on the monitor that is hassle-free to open and close so you can stand it up, if you choose. (The dock props it up, as properly, which tends to make rapid "glances" at the monitor simple. If you select not to use the dock, the plug goes correct into the monitor if you don't enjoy the dock. (I discuss this beneath in the Con section.))

CONS

-It appears that there are a lot of "lemons" out there, so if yours has complications, bring it back and get another one right away.

-The dock is truly light and is magnetic, so when I try to choose it up off the dock with a single hand, it commonly picks up the dock and drops it on the floor. Annoying, but not a deal-breaker.

-The "talk" button is suitable by the power button and because you have to hold the power button to turn the monitor off and hold the speak button to talk to the child, some many people have reported accidentally holding the speak button and waking the kid. This has not occurred to me. It would be sensible for Summer Infant to make a minor transform in that region.

-Video good quality can without a doubt be improved. The night vision is improved than the color, but really, it is often dark when I am monitoring her, so this is not a trouble. And, once again, not a deal-breaker for me.

CONCLUSION

Basically, it boils down to how countless rooms/children you are monitoring. The scanning feature is just too fundamental and outweighs all of the cons, in my opinion Please ask concerns, if you have them. I had millions and just went for it

For the past year, we've owned the Summer Infant Night Day Video Monitor and the video excellent is excellent (crystal clear). A couple of months ago, the volume did not operate at particular levels and the sound started to have more static, making it distracting for the duration of sleep for me.

We started searching at the digital monitors (as I've heard they will never get the "static" sound). We went for the Summer Infant BabyTouch. From the start we had been in adore with the sleek look and all of the attributes. Everything works outstanding...except the video high quality. If this is your 1st video monitor, you'll quite possibly adore this (you won't have something to compare it to). If you've had amazing video quality before and are switching to this video monitor, it will be noticeable for you.

The video is grainy and the motion is somewhat choppy (feel gas station video footage). You can nevertheless make out where the infant is and what's going on, but it's just not crystal clear like the picture on the box shows. I did call consumer service at Summer Infant and was particularly impressed with their support. They made some suggestions and were exceptionally friendly and beneficial, but their suggestions did not support at all.

The functions of this monitor outweigh the poor video high quality, so we have decided to maintain this monitor (we even exchanged it at our nearby shop to see if there was a difference in them...there wasn't).

Pros -

- Simple to navigate about (sound, pan, zoom, etc...)

- Superb sound

- Good pan

- Talk feature

- Docking station (speedy to put on and it really is charging versus having to obtain the cord to plug in and charge)

- Touch screen

Cons -

- Lame zoom (but all video monitors have this zoom - jumps straight to a closer view)

- The "talk" button is situated subsequent to the on and off button. You have to hold the on/off button for 4 seconds and the "speak" button has to be held down (like a Walkie Talkie) to be heard. I've accidentally held down the "speak" button when I thought I was turning on/off the monitor and was talking (waking my son up). It is not the finish of the globe, but just a suggestion to the business to switch the location of this button (it's the very same size as the on/off button too).

- The video quality is a massive disappointment
