Client Evaluations
Eight months ago currently, my wife gave birth to an amazing baby boy. This is our initially kid and as such, it really is been really stressful. Are we performing issues correct? Why in the planet is he crying? Why does it seem far more milk is coming out of him then went in him? What is that smell?
We've been utilizing the Angelcare monitor due to the fact day 1 and it has been the single finest child-connected acquire we've made so far. It is the one particular factor that has really relieved a small anxiety on us as parents. We're all aware of SIDS and how scary it is to consider about. A uncomplicated sound monitor will not help you sleep any less complicated. A video monitor will not either. But, when you know that an alarm will sound if your kid stops breathing/moving, then you have some peace of mind. If that must ever happen, would you be able to even make a difference? Could you revive your kid? I hope I don't have to answer that question, but at least with the Angelcare monitor I really feel like I have a fighting chance.
We did not have a single false alarm until around 6-7 months. The alarm went off, and we proceeded to freak out. The manual says that false alarms can be induced by definitely deep sleep. Our boy was beginning to sleep far better and I feel this was the case, because even the alarm hadn't woke him up when we arrived on scene (our craziness did wake him up even though). We chalked it up to a fluke. It occurred again a week or so later and that's when we upped the sensitivity on the nursery unit. We haven't had a false alarm given that.
In this day and age, it's rare that one thing essentially works the way it's supposed to. Hence the purpose I am so impressed with this monitor. The sound is clear. The range is great (our area is downstairs and the baby's is up). The charge on the parent's unit can last a couple of days with out getting charged. The night light is a nice bonus. This monitor does what it says it does, and it does it well. I would advocate this to any parent!
I will not deny this has given me a lot more peace of mind, I was neurotically checking on my son all the time to see if he was breathing. But, paying the additional for the thermostat etc sort of bums me out -- the temperature gauge is without a doubt off (I've checked it against a different thermometer). Also, the complete system appears glitchy. The sensor will all of a sudden get started going off all the time even when my son hasn't moved off the sensor, he's nevertheless breathing, absolutely nothing is altered-- it's like it just goes nuts occasionally. And, from time to time the receivers show that the temperature in the space has jumped up to 78 degrees when that Undoubtedly is not the case. The glitchy electronics make me really feel much less secure that the product is actually operating the way its supposed to, so my peace of mind is diminished. I would purchase this again but would order the lower end version. It appears the Amazon cost is far superior to the standard Babies R Us cost, so that's a large "pro".
