Customer Critiques

I am subscribed to this item via "Subscribe and Save" program, which provides a really great cost.

Recently, Amazon has switched my subscription from the 132-count box (size three) Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Size three Economy Plus Pack, 132 Count to this 156-count box. The value did not change considerably but the diapers themselves are distinctive:

1. The Key difference is that the lining (the most inner layer that is pressed against baby's butt) looks like a mesh on the 156 diaper (each cell is approx 3 millimeters) as opposed to uniform surface resembling a compressed cotton ball on the 132 diaper. Impact: when the mesh-lined diaper collects some liquid, it feels Much, Significantly wetter to the touch than the "cotton"-lined diaper. Combined with the fairly massive cell size, the baby's butt is considerably much less dry and it gets irritated substantially even more effortlessly due to the mesh pressing and rubbing against it. I do have to watch these diapers even more closely and change them much more commonly.

two. The quality of manufacturing is worse.

I am 1/2 by means of my second box of these "mesh" diapers and about every fourth diaper is somewhat glued to the mesh. If you are not SUPER cautious and slow in unforlding and ungluing it, the mesh gets without difficulty torn. And the subsequent layer under the mesh feels suprizingly rough to the touch. So the diaper goes to trash.

In the initial box, out of 156 diapers some five or 6 had the stretchy wings (that fix the diaper in the front) detach effortlessly on unfolding, and 3 diapers fully missed 1 of the wings.

None of these manufacturing challenges seemed apparent with the prior 132-count package.

I am somewat perplexed as to whether it is just this variety (the 156-count box) has this "mesh" construction and manufaturing concerns or Pampers has switched to the mesh lining across all manufacturing locations and packagings. I am about to consider dropping this subscription, and, possibly, the Swaddlers Sensitive diaper line altogether. BTW, the 156-count box says "Produced in the USA".

Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive with out Dry Max size 1 and 2 are fantastic. I have had no challenges with diaper rash or leaks (I use ones with no the Dry Max simply because I know two other babies who have had horrible rashes due to the Dry Max). Unfortunately size three is not great and I would not advise any person using these. After a utilizing few diapers I noticed a strange smell coming from my daughter. Finally, after thinking I was going crazy trying to get out exactly where this strange chemical smell was coming from, I realized it was her diaper! Each time she wet her diaper this strange, nasty smell would take place! The smell is so bad it makes my eyes burn! My infant never got a rash from the diapers but I only used them for about two days. I won't danger my daughter receiving a chemical burn. I known as Pampers and they didn't give an explanation as to why the diaper had this smell but they did listen and will be sending me a questionnaire to send back with a couple of the diapers. I will be returning my unused diapers to Amazon and I have currently switched to Huggies. There is absolutely nothing worse than your spectacular child having a nasty smell to them! I am disappointed that Pampers couldn't continue with the same good excellent as in size 1 and 2. Do not risk buying Pampers shoddy size 3s and just order an additional brand.
