We had a Sony BabyCall with our initially son and loved it We loved it so significantly the receiver was highly well worn when we had our second son 28 months later. We were holding it together with a rubberband...and it was nonetheless working! (We had dropped it too a large number of times. We were Quite rough on it and I doubt any other monitor would have held up as well.) When pregnant with our second son, we ordered a Graco dual monitor program to monitor both rooms. It did not measure up to the common we had come to rely on with our Sony! (I will not get into all my matters with the Graco monitor.)

I ordered the Sony BabyCall with two receivers when our second son was a handful of months old. We use one receiver with the new monitor and the second receiver with our old monitor so we can successfully monitor both our sons' rooms. Works good. If both are sleeping, you do have to carry two monitors (but I was sleeping with two of the Graco receivers due to the fact they weren't dependable.) They are set on several channels and do not interfere with a single one other. The BabyCall is sensitive adequate, that I could rely on only the monitor in our baby's area to hear our older son in the course of naptime.

The positive issues I rely on: 1) you can hear them breathing through this monitor it is so sensitive! 2) the battery life three) range. It is as clear as if you were in the room...but, in fact magnified.

The unfavorable things that don't bother me: 1) so sensitive it will interfere w our mobile phones so we have to preserve them separated two) so sensitive the receiver can sometimes scream at you if you aren't accustomed and walk too closely to your child's door though carrying it. Our to begin with Sony would interfere with the microwave but I have not noticed it with this a single and I frequently have both receivers in the kitchen (note: new microwave as nicely).

For me, the reliability and sensitivity far out weigh any interference concerns

The overall excellent of this monitor is superior. Quite excellent sensitivity, and volume. You will surely hear what is going on. The reception range is disappointing even though. With a couple of walls in the way, it barely tends to make it down the hall. I have been employing this for two weeks, but will almost certainly be returning it when I locate one particular that works better. Even with the voice activated mode, it makes a lot of static. Every single time it loses it is link, it beeps and makes noise when it reconnects. We don't know if our infant produced a little noise that triggered it, or if it was a lost connection. The parent units will operate portably on the rechargeable batteries, but they are rather huge and clunky. Also, I was incredibly disappointed to locate that it doesn't have an accommodation in the nursery unit for batteries in case of energy loss.
